I worked as a system analyst for small business accounting offices from 1984 to 2004. In the time I dabbled in buying and renting homes using the VA Assumable Loan programs to get properties with little money down. In 2004, facing job burn out(or maybe it was a mid-life crisis) I accepted a one year contract to teach English in southern China. That turned into a 12 year stay. When I decided to return to the states I had a wife, three kids, and a successful training center, of which we sold half to a partner who would run it in our absence. Coming back forced me into some serious reckoning. I had cash, great credit, but no recent income history. I could not even rent a place to live! It got better. Apparently that income gap also translated into a resume gap. Could not get a job. I’d sold real estate in California with my father in the mid 90’s so I figured I’d look into getting my AZ license. 2016 I began this journey, 2022 I continue it with Hague Partners/72SOLD. I’m very excited.
Your perfect day?
My perfect day would be waking up early getting some coffee and then go to the gym. After that I would go golf 18 holes. And lastly I would go grab my dog and go hang out at the beach for the rest of the day.
