Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West

Verde Canyon Railroad Starlight Rides & Historic Jerome Tour

Embark upon this tour of the Verde Valley, including Jerome and the Verde Canyon Railroad. Take a tour of the historic ghost town of Jerome, a tour of the Copper Art Museum in Clarkdale, as well as stunning night time views from your first-class seat on the Verde Canyon Railroad. As it rumbles through the Canyon, the low slant of sun bathes the high cliffs in soft golden hues. The train reaches the turn-around point of Perkinsville amid a scandalous sunset. The return trip offers a serene glimpse into the nocturnal wildlife set against a dazzling canvas of celestial bodies. As the sun slips behind distant mountains, cool air sweeps through the Canyon signaling the resident wildlife to begin their nightly rounds.

Central Avenue and Patriot’s Park will be transformed into a water park! There will be shade, the splash pad, and slides for all ages! Bring the kids to cool off, chill out, and learn all about water safety. All contributions will be donated to the “Safety Around Water” program. Don’t forget your sunscreen and water shoes!
A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature

Arizona Science Center guests can experience A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature, an interactive and immersive new exhibition created by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Navigating through twists and turns and around dead ends, maze explorers will ultimately discover a small secret room with bonus puzzles, imagery and artifacts.
Price: $8.95 for non-members (adults and children) and $6.95 for members (adults and children). Exhibition requires purchase of general admission ticket.
